Important Milestone for Local Company
Northern Ireland based company Terex Finlay, originally founded by John Finlay and formerly known as Finlay Hydrascreens is celebrating 50 years of success.
The company, which was started in a small workshop is now part of the $7 billion Terex Corporation and now employs 500 people at their 400,000 sq ft factory in Omagh.
Original success was achieved mainly in the UK and Irish markets, but now 75% of its products are exported beyond these countries. In fact, products are sold and serviced through an extensive independent dealer network in over 80 Countries.
A world leader in the manufacture and distribution of crushing, screening, washing and recycling equipment, the Finlay global enterprise is proud of its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.
Their success can be attributed to a combination of the development of a world-wide network of specialized distributors, a consistent record of innovative product development, strong global leadership and a talented and skilled workforce.
Paul O’Donnell has been general manager with the Company for over seven years, following four years as financial controller. He said:

Primarily a screening and washing manufacturer, the company entered the crushing market in 2005 with the production of the J-1175 Jaw Crusher. Since then they have went from strength to strength with the introduction of; 3 Impact Crushers – the I-1312, I-1310 and the I-1310RS, a Cone crusher – the C-1540 and an additional Jaw Crusher – the J-1160. The most recent additions to their crushing and screening range are the C-1540RS and the 984 Horizontal screener.
Delighted by the successes of 2007 Mairead McNulty, marketing manager said: “2008 will prove to be just as eventful with the launch of many new products, continued development in new markets throughout the world and the celebration of 50 years in business. Events are planned throughout the year as employees, dealers and customers come together to celebrate this important milestone.”
