Steinexpo is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the European tradeshow calendar and this year was no exception! With thousands visiting from all corners of the world, the emphasis was on the expanding Eastern European market. As expected, TEREX Finlay was one of the focal points for the international show, with customers travelling far and wide to view the Finlay range including the recently launched Finlay J-1175 Jaw Crusher.

Although it was initially introduced to the TEREX Finlay dealers in March 2005, this was the first real opportunity for many to view this piece of engineering genius. The New Finlay J-1175 single toggle Jaw crusher is fitted with a 1070mm x 760mm (42" x 30") world renowned Jaques crusher chamber and a heavy-duty undercarriage for exceptional on site mobility. A heavy duty vibrating grizzly feeder with automatic control to regulate the feed into the crusher, hydrostatic drive, reverse crushing action to assist in clearing blockages are all major features of this unit. Its compact size, ease of transport, and quick set-up times makes the Finlay J-1175 unit ideal for contract crushing and demolition/recycling applications.

The Crusher was demonstrated feeding into the Finlay 693. The family of Finlay 6-SERIES comprises of a range of 3-way and 4-way split screening units which combines the functions of scalping, screening and stockpiling into the one integrated unit. Models include the 663, 683, 693 and 694. All fully integrated units are available on wheels or on tracks and with screenboxes varying in size from 10’ x 4’ right up to 20’ x 5’ 3-Deck. These units can work independently or after tracked crushers.

Also on display was the high performance 883 Reclaimer – a heavy-duty screening unit for the efficient, cost-effective processing of aggregates, topsoil, coal, crushed stone, and construction and demolition debris. Key features include a Hardox steel apron feeder, 16’ x 5’ 2-Deck heavy duty vibrating screen which can be fitted with meshes, punch plate or cascade fingers, full integrated catwalk, long stockpile conveyors and a large clearance between decks. The 883 is designed to withstand the heavy demands of today’s quarrying and recycling industries and can process at a typical rate of up to 500 tonnes per hour.

With the ongoing success of the J-1175 Jaw Crusher, TEREX Finlay has further bolstered the new crushing range with the I-1312 Impact Crusher. Currently being tested in a limestone quarry in Ireland, the new Impactor has a great future in the European market. A hugely impressive machine, the I-1312 is outstanding with its high production rate, low maintenance costs, low wear rate and low cost per tonne. Due for release in November 2005, TEREX Finlay are already taking orders for the I-1312.
