Yellowstone C & D Ltd., the Wexford based contract crushing and screening specialists, have recently purchased their first TEREX Finlay J-1175 primary tracked jaw crushing unit. The management team first viewed the unit at the recent TEREX Finlay Dealer Conference held in Ireland earlier this year. Now used in various rock crushing applications, the unit is currently employed at Roadstone Provinces, Enniscorthy Quarry.

Edward Warren Managing Director of Yellowstone explains why they have opted for the new J-1175 Finlay Jaw Crusher. “Having used jaw crushers from other suppliers, we were initially impressed with the increased production through the J-1175. Adding to that, we were impressed with the high standard of build quality evident in the machine and the use of quality components. A very short time after purchasing we were knew that we had made the correct purchase and that the J-1175 was the machine for us".

The J-1175 is fitted with a 1070mm x 760mm (42" x 30") world renowned Jaques crusher chamber and a heavy-duty undercarriage for exceptional on-site mobility. A heavy duty vibrating grizzly feeder with automatic control to regulate the feed into the crusher, Hydrostatic drive and reverse crushing action to assist in clearing blockages, are all major features of this unit. Its compact size, ease of transport, and quick set-up times makes the TEREX Finlay J-1175 unit ideal for contract crushing and demolition/recycling applications.

Ronan Hopkins, Financial Controller at Yellowstone adds “with TEREX Finlay’s track record and strong brand name we were happy in the knowledge that we were purchasing a machine which gave us higher output, therefore reducing our cost per tonne. Furthermore, from a plant depreciation perspective we have a unit which will retain a high residual value when trading up for the next J-1175".

The J-1175 Jaw Crusher is the first in the new crushing range to be launched by TEREX Finlay. With the new I-1312 Impact Crusher due for release this winter, TEREX Finlay are forecasting significant progress in the overall service that they can offer to their customers both in the home market and abroad. This new crushing range compliments and completes the screening, washing and recycling range already on offer.
